By opening the website or installing the app you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
What the Service is
Chinese Practice is a free educational word game for practicing HSK vocabulary (characters, pinyin, audio, and related exercises). It is provided for personal, non-commercial learning. We may change features, word lists, or availability at any time.
No account required
You do not need to create an account. A display name and character you choose stay on your device unless you publish a score to the optional shared rating table. Do not use a real legal name, email, phone number, or other contact details as your player name.
Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Abuse, disrupt, or overload the Service or its servers
- Attempt unauthorized access to our systems or other users’ data
- Cheat, automate play, or manipulate the rating table in a way that misleads others
- Use the Service for anything illegal or harmful
- Scrape or redistribute the game assets at scale without permission
Intellectual property
The game code, artwork, branding, and our compilations of gameplay content are owned by us or our licensors. HSK word lists and language materials may be based on publicly known exam vocabularies; we do not claim ownership of the Chinese language itself. You may use the Service for personal study. You may not copy, sell, or rebrand the app or site as your own product.
No guarantees
The Service is provided “as is.” We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability, error-free gameplay, or that using the game will improve your HSK score. Exam results depend on many factors outside this app.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent allowed by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim related to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us for it in the past twelve months (which is zero while the Service is free).
Privacy
How we handle data is described in our Privacy Policy. By using the Service you also acknowledge that policy.
Children
The Service is aimed at a general audience. If you are under the age required to consent to online services in your country, use it only with a parent or guardian’s permission.
Changes
We may update these Terms. The “Last updated” date at the top will change when we do. Continued use after an update means you accept the new Terms.
